Ms Rita Edah MBACP

Counsellor | Psychotherapist | Coach

I work with my clients to work through the mental/emotional blocks keeping them stuck and distressed.
I also work with couples or adult family members whose relationship is in crisis or those wanting to enhance the quality of their relationship.

I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental healing relationship which enables you to explore and discover your way out of stuckness into growth, movement and recovery.

I am experienced in working with those who are distressed due to displacement, loss, trauma and abuse as well as adults who have suffered bereavement be it through death, divorce or broken relationships. Many of my counselling clients have suffered with anxiety and depression brought about by different difficulties in their lives.  I am also experienced in working with clients who struggle with the strangulating effects of guilt and shame.

My training specialism is integrative.  This means I can work flexibly, drawing on different approaches according to your preferences.

I offer sessions face-to-face in person, online or by telephone.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC) and The Black, African and Asian Therapy Network (BAATN).

I am also author of Beauty’s Story, a work of fiction that shows the insidious nature of domestic abuse.
